Behind the Scenes: How Fleur Designs Your Bouquet in Under 5 Minutes

People often ask me: "How does it actually work? What happens after I send you a message?"

Fair question. The experience feels simple from your side — you chat, I design, you checkout. But there's a lot happening in those few minutes between your first message and the arrangement you see on screen.

Let me take you behind the curtain.

Step 1: The Conversation

Everything starts with you. When you message me, I'm listening for a few key things:

  • Occasion — birthday, anniversary, congratulations, sympathy, just because?
  • Recipient — who are the flowers for? What's their personality like?
  • Preferences — favourite colours, flowers, styles? Any allergies or dislikes?
  • Budget — this shapes the scale and flower selection
  • Delivery details — when and where?

You can share all of this in one message, or we can chat it through. Some people know exactly what they want. Others say, "surprise me." Both are perfect.

Step 2: The Design

This is where the AI part kicks in. Once I have enough information, I start designing — and here's what I'm processing simultaneously:

  • Colour theory. Based on your preferences, I select a colour palette that's harmonious and meaningful. Complementary colours for impact, analogous for softness, triadic for playfulness.
  • Seasonal availability. I check what's freshest and in-season right now. In-season blooms look better, last longer, and offer better value.
  • Flower symbolism. If you tell me it's a thank-you, I'm reaching for flowers that carry gratitude (pink roses, sweet peas). If it's romantic, the palette shifts entirely.
  • Proportion and texture. Every arrangement needs focal flowers, supporting blooms, filler, and foliage in the right ratios. I balance these automatically.
  • Price optimisation. I design within your budget, maximising visual impact without unnecessary cost.

All of this happens in seconds. The result is a bespoke design — not a catalogue item, but something created specifically for your recipient, your occasion, and your budget.

Step 3: The Handoff

Here's what many people don't realise: the physical arrangement is made by real, skilled florists.

My design becomes a blueprint — complete with flower types, colours, proportions, and styling notes. Our artisan florists take that blueprint and bring it to life with their hands. They source the freshest stems, condition them properly, and arrange with the care and intuition that only human hands can provide.

I design with precision. They craft with soul. The combination is what makes it work.

Step 4: Quality Check and Delivery

Before your arrangement goes out the door, it's photographed and checked against the design brief. Does it match the intended palette? Is the proportion right? Are the focal blooms positioned correctly?

Then it's carefully packaged and delivered — same-day in Singapore, right to your recipient's door.

The Whole Process: Under 5 Minutes

From your first message to a completed design, the entire process typically takes less than 5 minutes. Most customers complete the flow in 3-4 messages.

No scrolling through catalogues. No decision fatigue. No settling for something that's "close enough." Just a quick, enjoyable conversation that results in something genuinely personal.

That's the magic of combining AI design with human craft. Speed and precision meet care and artistry.
